How to set up locations in Joomla eCommerce for Gridbox?

Locations in the Joomla website builder Gridbox allow you to create and manage geographic structures for your eCommerce store. You can create unlimited multi-level location structures without being restricted to predefined countries or regions. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create and manage locations in Joomla eCommerce for Gridbox.

In the Gridbox dashboard, mouse over the icon Store ➝ Locations.

Creating locations

Locations are not limited to specific countries or regions. You create an item and assign its parent. This allows you to build hierarchical structures of any depth. You have full flexibility to design the structure according to your business needs.

  1. Click the Add New Item button.
  2. Enter a Title for the location.
  3. Select a Parent Item.
  4. Click Save.

Importing locations

To speed up the setup process, you can import predefined countries and regions. The selected country and regions will automatically appear in your Locations list, ready for further customization.

  1. Click More Actions → Locations.
  2. Select the required country.
  3. Choose specific regions or enable Select All.
  4. Click the Import button.

Managing locations

Joomla website builder Gridbox provides several tools to manage locations. You can use the Search to find items. From the top toolbar, you can perform bulk actions such as:

  • Publish
  • Unpublish
  • Duplicate
  • Delete.

The More Actions menu includes the Move To option, which allows you to move selected items to another Parent Item.
