How to manage custom email notifications in Joomla eCommerce for Gridbox?

Joomla eCommerce for Gridbox allows you to create and set up custom email notifications for each order status. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to configure email notifications in Gridbox Store App.

Creating custom email notifications

In the Gridbox dashboard mouseover on the icon Store ➝ Settings ➝ Email Notifications.

Setting up email notifications

Gridbox Store App provides advanced settings for custom email notifications. To set up an email notification, fill in all required fields. Use the Source button in the Text Editor to make a unique notification design.

  1. Click the button Add New Item.
  2. Set up email notification.
  3. Click the icon Save.

General settings

  • Title - the name of the custom email notification. 
    *  The Title field is displayed only in the Gridbox admin panel.
  • Recipient - a dropdown field that sets who receives notifications: Admin or Customer.
  • Status - a dropdown field that allows you to set order status. 
  • Email Sending Delay - sets a time interval between the trigger event and the actual sending of an email. This delay is defined in terms of hours, days, month, or years. 
  • Minimum Stock Quantity - sets minimum stock quantity before the email is triggered.
    * The Minimum Stock Quantity field is available only in the Out of Stock email notification.

Email settings

  • From Name - the store name that customers see when they receive an email from your store.
  • From Email - the email address from which email notifications are sent to customers.
  • Admins Email Addresses - email addresses to which email notifications will be sent. You can enter one or more email addresses in the field by pressing Enter.
  • Don't forget to press Enter to add an email address
  • Email Subject - sets the email subject (supports Data tags).
  • Text Editor - edits structure of the email body (supports Data tags).

Fullscreen view

Open Text Editor in a lightbox to make editing email notifications comfortable. Click the icon Fullscreen at the top right.

Adding data tags

Data tags allow adding personalized information to email notifications. You can insert data tags in email notification settings (Subject and Text Editor). Click the icon Data Tags to insert data tag.

Reordering email notifications

Use drag & drop to move items. Sort items by drag and drop allow you to place email notifications in the order you need.

Deleting email notifications

Select email notifications you want to delete click the Delete button.

  • You cannot remove Out of Stock and Expiration and Renewal Reminder because they are system notifications
