Request for Official Access to Previous Gridbox Versions for Joomla 3.x (Essential for Agency Support, Security & Client Projects)

Dear Balbooa Team,

We have encountered a recurring challenge regarding access to previous Gridbox versions. As an agency, we maintain numerous Joomla sites for clients who have not migrated to Joomla 4/5. Many of these clients engage us for limited updates or minor feature extensions, such as deploying a simple FAQ app, rather than full platform migrations, which, as you know, would require extensive development time and incur far greater costs. Often, their budgets cannot accommodate such large-scale upgrades.

Currently, our licensing only provides access to the latest Gridbox release. This version no longer supports Joomla 3.x, meaning we cannot offer crucial Gridbox feature updates or bug fixes to clients who remain on Joomla 3.10.x. Relying on third-party websites (e.g. BlackJoomla) to obtain previous Gridbox releases, while technically feasible, is unacceptably risky due to the well-known potential for malicious code.

Therefore, we urgently request that Balbooa make all previous Gridbox versions available to licensed users via the official customer portal or direct support. This would enable us, your paying customers, to reliably support clients who cannot migrate yet, without resorting to unsafe download sources. Blanket recommendations to migrate to Joomla 4/5 are not realistic or practical given the actual project scopes and budgets.

Please consider prioritizing access to your Gridbox version archive for agencies and developers who are actively maintaining legacy Joomla installations.

Thank you for understanding our position and ensuring the safety, continuity, and professionalism of your customer base.

With regards,
Team LoginSecure, Elmer
