Dozens of folders named .webp appeared on my site

Hi my friends, hope you are ok.
I do not know if this is Gridbox-specific or it relates to a bigger problem.
I was backing up one of my sites and found that it took longer than expected, and I saw that it was backing up a folder that had dozens of subfolders. It was in my /web/images/compressed/tablet/.webp/.webp/.webp and then dozens of empty .webp folders one inside the other. There was only one difference in the structure, after a few folders it changed to .webp/etc/passwd/.webp/.webp and so on (see attached screenshot).
I also found another folder in /web/images/compressed/tablet/ named dicrpdbjmemujemfyopp.zzz
I lloked for this in google and there appeared many results, even in the NASA site: https://exhibits.larc.nasa.gov/2024/05/03/http-dicrpdbjmemujemfyopp-zzz-yrphmgdpgulaszriylqiipemefmacafkxycjaxjs%3F-anniversary/?doing_wp_cron=1723572185.4082660675048828125000
I do not know if this is something to be alarmed of - so far my other websites in the same server do not have these weird folders. Am I being hacked?

Thank you guys
Xavi
