I am building a Joomla website using the Gridbox Store App and I have a structural question.
I have a main category that contains 9 subcategories.
Each subcategory should have its own:
Category title
Category description
List of products belonging to that subcategory
Extended description or additional content under the products
I am aware that this can be achieved by creating separate Store Apps / separate application pages for each subcategory, and manually building 9 individual layouts.
However, this creates a maintenance problem:
❗ Issue
If in the future I have 20–50 subcategories, then:
Each subcategory becomes a separate app/page,
Every layout change (CSS, spacing, blocks, structure) must be manually repeated 20–50 times,
This makes long-term maintenance extremely difficult.
❓ My question
Is there an official or recommended method in Gridbox Store to create subcategory pages with:
unique title,
unique description,
products assigned to that subcategory,
and optional extended content below the product list,
while using ONE shared layout template — so that future design or CSS changes apply automatically to all category pages?
In other words:
Is there a way to generate real category pages dynamically (title + description + products), instead of manually duplicating separate Store Apps for every subcategory?
If not, is this feature planned, or is there a recommended approach for this type of structure?
Thank you!
