First of all, thank you for adding the option to set custom ARIA labels in Gridbox – that's a great improvement for accessibility, and we really appreciate the continuous development of the builder in that direction.
However, we've encountered a specific issue with the "Back to Top" button:
When we assign an aria-label, it gets applied directly to the element (e.g. ). According to accessibility standards (and tools like Decareto or WAVE), this leads to an error, since elements are not allowed to have ARIA attributes like aria-label.
This creates a conflict:
If we leave the aria-label, it's flagged as an accessibility violation.
If we remove it, screen reader users receive no context or meaning for the button at all.
It would be incredibly helpful if the ARIA label could be placed on a semantically appropriate parent element (e.g. a or ), or if there was a way to wrap the icon in such an element via the Gridbox UI.
Is this behavior something you might consider improving in a future update? A solution here would really enhance accessibility compliance without workarounds.
Thanks a lot in advance, and keep up the great work!
Best regards
